What is Lorem ipsum?

Lorem ipsum is placeholder (dummy) text used in design and typesetting in place of real content. Because the Latin-like text carries no meaning, you can focus on the look of the layout, such as the font, line spacing, and overall composition, without being distracted by the wording. It has long been widely used in print and web design.

Can it generate Japanese dummy text?

This tool generates only the classic Lorem ipsum (Latin-like English placeholder text). It does not produce Japanese dummy text. Use it as an English-language placeholder for layout checks and mockups.

Is my input or output sent to a server?

No. Choosing the unit and count, building the dummy text, and copying the result all happen entirely in JavaScript inside your browser. Your settings and the generated result are never sent to or stored on a server.
